November 2, 2018 – The Brookings Center on Regulation and Markets hosted scholars and a former airline executive on October 30 to discuss the legacy of Airline Deregulation Act (which marked 40 years since enactment last Wednesday) and the current state of American passenger aviation.
November 2, 2018 – There are at least 291 transportation measures on the ballot this November to go along with the 196 that have already appeared before voters earlier this year. Eno is tracking these measures and has released a comprehensive listing of the 2018 transportation ballot measures.

November 1, 2018 – While voters across 30 states will see transportation ballot measures this Election Day, Coloradans are set to decide on two: one that funds road projects without raising new revenue, and another that raises the sales tax to fund road and multimodal projects.
November 2, 2018 – The mystery of what exactly happened to Airport Improvement Program outlays in the just-closed fiscal year 2018 is now solved.
November 2, 2018 – The U.S. Department of Transportation only closed three TIFIA loans in fiscal 2018, totaling $1.8 billion in loan face value. This was less than half of the new loan authority provided by Congress for fiscal 2018 in the FAST Act, which then added to the already-sizable carryover of unused TIFIA funding that has ben building for 20 years.
October 31, 2018 – The Eno Center for Transportation has put over 32,000 pages of its legacy transportation research and policy analysis online for the first time. From 1947 through 2003, the Eno Foundation (as it was then known) published a quarterly scholarly journal. Called Traffic Quarterly from 1947-1981 and Transportation Quarterly from 1982-2003, the journal published peer-reviewed studies and a variety of policy insights from both academics and policymakers.
October 26, 2018 – President Trump signed the biennial water resources development bill (the America’s Water Infrastructure Act) into law on October 23 at a ceremony in the Oval Office – S. 3021 became Public Law 115-270.
