May 10, 2018 – now that ATC reform efforts have been defeated for the time being, it’s worth taking a deeper look at why they failed. ATC reform efforts pursued multiple policy goals, and each policy goal brought a different set of political opponents to the legislation. The combined opposition was just too great to be overcome.
The Eno Center for Transportation has selected So Jung Kim for the Eno Summer 2018 Thomas J. O’Bryan Transportation Policy and Finance Fellowship.
May 8, 2018–The House Energy and Commerce Subcommittee on Environment examined the rise of electric vehicles (EVs) and the public policies supporting their growth Tuesday at a hearing, “Sharing the Road: Policy Implications of Electric and Conventional Vehicles in the Years Ahead.”

May 8, 2018 – Mass transit advocates in Nashville, Tennessee were dealt a crushing setback one week ago today when a referendum to approve a $6.6 billion mass transit capital program ($8.9 billion once operating and financing costs were factored in) was rejected by voters by almost a 2 to 1 margin.

April 27, 2018 – Nearly 6,000 pedestrians are estimated to have been killed in crashes with motor vehicles in 2017, a number that has been steadily increasing over time. It is the job of planners, policy makers, and engineers to protect all road users, including the most vulnerable ones.
