April 16, 2020 – Today, almost three weeks after the mammoth “CARES Act” (the third legislative installment of coronavirus response) was signed into law, the Congressional Budget Office released its preliminary cost estimate of the law.

Data from the U.S. Energy Information Administration indicates that U.S. production of gasoline has dropped by about 40 percent since travel restrictions and business closures related to the coronavirus started in early March.
April 10, 2020 – There is a consensus in Washington that response to the coronavirus and its attendant economic disruption will require much more federal assistance to be provided by legislation. But no consensus exists yet on when and how any more “CV” aid will be provided.
April 10, 2020 – The mammoth coronavirus aid package signed into law two weeks ago today (on March 27) provided $88 billion in grant and loan authority for the aviation sector. However, as of this writing, none of that money has yet been provided to airlines, other aviation business, or airports.
April 9, 2020 – The operators of toll roads, bridges, and express lanes have requested $9.2 billion in emergency federal financial aid to help them meet debt service obligations amidst plummeting toll revenues due to coronavirus.
April 10, 2020 – How many times have we heard the term “CASE” recently in discussions about automated vehicles? Connected, Automated or Autonomous, Shared and Electric. While these terms seem to cover a complete vision for automated vehicles (AVs) in the future, it is missing two key elements: accessible and equitable/inclusive.
