October 1, 2021 – On September 28, T&I’s Highways and Transit Subcommittee held a hearing, titled “Examining the Role of Ferries in Improving Mobility.” On a subcommittee where most matters are starkly divided on party lines, this was a bipartisan, civil hearing.
October 1, 2021 – The benefits of unbundling outweigh the potential benefits of a single, large contract. This is reflected in the successful delivery of complex transit lines abroad and has become standard practice in countries outside of the United States.
October 1, 2021 – Yesterday, the full House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held a hearing titled “Assessing the Federal Government’s COVID-19 Relief and Response Efforts and its Impact – Part II.”

September 24, 2021 – Yesterday, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held a serious (and sometimes lively) hearing titled “Disruption in the Skies: The Surge in Air Rage and its Effects on Workers, Airlines, and Airports,” learning about the problems from flight attendants, airlines, and airport representatives, and trying to work through solutions to curb this widespread disobedient behavior.
