Lori Garver is the General Manager of the Air Line Pilots Association, International (ALPA). ALPA is the largest airline pilot union in the world and represents over 51,000 pilots at 30 U.S. and Canadian airlines.

Prior to joining ALPA, Lori was the Deputy Administrator at NASA. During her tenure, Lori worked to transform NASA into a 21st century agency of innovation. She led the agency’s efforts to support investment in technology, innovative partnerships and to provide better value to the taxpayer.

Lori was the lead civil space policy advisor for the 2008 Obama presidential campaign and led the agency review team for NASA during the post-election transition. Previously, Garver held numerous senior positions in aerospace, including the lead space policy advisor for Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign, Vice President of the Avascent Group and Executive Director of the National Space Society. She was a member of the NASA Advisory Council, a guest lecturer at the International Space University, president and board member of Women in Aerospace, and president of the American Astronautical Society.
