March 15, 2024 – James Madison is often referred to as the “Father of the Constitution.” He helped draft the document and then (along with Alexander Hamilton and John Jay) wrote a series of letters, known as the Federalist Papers, urging the states to support and ratify it. He later served as the fourth U.S. president between 1809 and 1817.

Biden’s FY25 Budget Again Proposes Not Renewing IIJA Advance Funding

March 13, 2024 – Once again, President Biden’s 2025 budget proposes to let $36.8 billion per year in IIJA funding for transportation expire after 2026, and claims $158 billion in deficit reduction over 10 years from ending this funding, which was assumed to continue in the budget “baseline.”
