September 8, 2017 – How would the governance structure of a private non-profit air traffic control corporation work? In this article we’ll provide an overview of the proposed governance model, and how it has been implemented by the Canadians in their own nonprofit ATC provider, NAV CANADA.
September 7, 2017 – The USDOT Inspector General made public this week an August 15 letter with their analysis on the Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) most recent business case for NextGen, the agency’s ongoing program to modernize air traffic control (ATC).

September 8, 2017 – The U.S. Department of Transportation has issued a formal notice announcing the availability of $480 million in TIGER grants for surface transportation projects using funding appropriated in the fiscal 2017 omnibus appropriations act. Applications are due by 8 p.m. Eastern time on October 16, 2017.
On September 5, the House passed the SELF DRIVE Act – a bill that zoomed through the legislative process in a few short months with bipartisan support (almost) completely throughout.
But on the other side of the Hill, the upper chamber continues to live up to its reputation of being – as President James Buchanan put it best – “the world’s greatest deliberative body.”
