March 5, 2021 – President Joe Biden hosted an Oval Office meeting yesterday with a bipartisan group of House members to discuss infrastructure legislation, but not only did no plan emerge (to be expected), after the meeting there was no clear sense on whether or not bipartisan legislation would be possible.
March 5, 2021 – Polly Trottenberg, President Biden’s nominee to serve as Deputy Secretary of Transportation, got a good reception March 3 at her confirmation hearing before the Senate Commerce, Science and Transportation Committee.

With the pandemic still ongoing and passengers levels still significantly down, the Aviation Subcommittee of the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee held a hearing entitled “COVID-19’s Effects on U.S. Aviation and the Flight Path to Recovery.”
