November 21, 2025 – Yesterday, USDOT announced over $2 billion in new grant funding for bus purchases and bus facility upgrades spread across 165 different U.S. public transportation providers.
November 21, 2025 – The Trump Administration is considering a proposal to abolish the Mass Transit Account of the Highway Trust Fund and transfer its 2.86 cents per gallon of dedicated motor fuel tax receipts to support highways instead. Problem: it’s a drop in the budget compared to how deep the Trust Fund’s overall revenue hole is.
