Biden Names Safety Chief Nolen Acting FAA Administrator

March 29, 2022 – On Saturday, March 26, the Biden Administration announced that Billy Nolen has been named Acting Administrator of the Federal Aviation Administration, now that the resignation of Steve Dickson from the post has become effective. Nolen is the Associate Administrator for Aviation Safety.

March 18, 2022 – On March 15, the U.S. Senate, in a bipartisan 57-40 vote, approved legislation (S. J. Res. 37) that would force the Biden Administration to lift its mandate that users of transportation facilities in interstate commerce and local mass transit wear face masks.
