July 1, 2022 – Since the COVID pandemic began, transit agencies have been trying to figure out when all their riders will come back. Although local bus ridership is bouncing back from post-pandemic lows, it is still no more than 70 percent of pre-COVID levels at many transit agencies, including LA Metro in Los Angeles and NJ Transit in New Jersey.
