May 23, 2019 – Last week, transportation and infrastructure professionals convened around the country to discuss priorities for a national infrastructure agenda… While many conversations touched on opportunities to invest in resilient infrastructure or efficient transportation systems, there was a notable absence of discussion about another current major proposal of national significance: the Green New Deal resolution aimed at addressing climate change and economic inequality, of which infrastructure is a major component.

April 5, 2019 – On Sunday March 31, the New York State Legislature and Democratic Gov. Andrew Cuomo signed off on a $175 billion budgetfor fiscal year 2020. The plan included dedicated funding streams for the Metropolitan Transit Authority (MTA), to be supported by a variety of sources including a central business district tolling program, or congestion pricing.

Insights from the National Shared Mobility Summit

March 8, 2019 – This week, professionals in transit, micromobility, carsharing, and ride-hailing gathered together in Chicago for the Fifth Annual Shared Mobility Summit hosted by the Shared Use Mobility Center (SUMC). Preceding the Summit, SUMC (in conjunction with the Federal Transit Administration) hosted a daylong workshop on the newly funded Mobility on Demand (MOD) On-Ramp Program.
