FAA Gives Thune a NextGen Status Update

February 5, 2017 – Back on December 1, Senator John Thune (R-SD), chairman of the Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation, asked the Federal Aviation Administration to report promptly on the status of NextGen deployment, the agency’s multi-year endeavor to modernize air traffic control (ATC). The agency responded on December 15, the deadline given by Thune, in a letter that can be read here.

February 5, 2017 – Next week, over 10,000 transportation engineers, researchers, policymakers and other experts will gather in Washington, DC for the annual meeting of the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences. Staff of the Eno Center for Transportation will be participating, as well as covering, the events that will be held at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center.
