September 28, 2017 – The devastation wrought by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico has brought new attention to the Jones Act, a 97-year-old federal law that limits the ships that can travel between points in the U.S. (including Puerto Rico).

September 25, 2017 – This morning, the nonpartisan Congressional Budget Office released a full, 24-page cost estimate of the revised version of the House’s Federal Aviation Administration reauthorization bill (H.R. 2997) that was posted on the website of the House Rules Committee six weeks ago.
