Charging for Congestion in New York

In major metropolitan areas like New York, transportation challenges dominate headlines and for good reason. The data firm Inrix recently named New York the third worst-congested city in the world, ahead of Sao Paulo, Bangkok, and Jakarta. At the same time, New York Governor Andrew Cuomo declared a “state of emergency” for the city’s transit system. As it was in London, now is the time for bold action.

Revised FAA Bill Introduced in House

New Data Shows Eight States Were Highway “Donor States” in FY 2016

April 5, 2018 – Newly released data from the Federal Highway Administration shows that eight states actually achieved highway “donor state” status in fiscal year 2016, which is hard to do when the Highway Trust Fund is systemically spending far more than it receives in tax payments.
