November 6, 2020 – While the country awaits the results of the final vote count in a handful of key states in the Presidential race, the results from many transportation ballot measures are in. Despite uncertainty over how voters would respond to major bond and tax measures during the pandemic, voters approved a vast range of major transportation measures.
November 6, 2020 – The monthly jobs report for October came out this morning, and it shows almost 18,000 net job losses in aviation last month. This was offset by some good news in ground transportation and in heavy construction.
November 6, 2020 – Senate Republicans are favored to maintain control of the U.S. Senate in the next Congress – all they have to do is successfully defend one of two seats in a pair of runoff elections in Georgia. But Democrats have lost seats in the House, narrowing their majority to an as-yet-unknown but tight margin.
