October Job Numbers Show Impact of Aviation Layoffs

November 6, 2020 – The monthly jobs report for October came out this morning, and it shows almost 18,000 net job losses in aviation last month. This was offset by some good news in ground transportation and in heavy construction.

November 6, 2020 – Senate Republicans are favored to maintain control of the U.S. Senate in the next Congress – all they have to do is successfully defend one of two seats in a pair of runoff elections in Georgia. But Democrats have lost seats in the House, narrowing their majority to an as-yet-unknown but tight margin.
