June 16, 2021 – On July 9, President Biden signed one of the widest-ranging executive orders of his Administration, EO 14036, “Promoting Competition in the American Economy.” It may have significant effects on the way the U.S. Department of Transportation manages airline competition and customer service, and urges federal regulatory commissions to examine freight rail and ocean shipping competition as well.
