February 15, 2023 – The IIJA and IRA together provided hundreds of billions of dollars to state and local governments for building and improving transportation infrastructure and curbing climate emissions. To be successful in meeting the mobility, equity, and sustainability goals outlined in these laws, these mega capital investments must be met with the right people and talent.

February 3, 2023 – The Federal Highway Administration told Congress this week that $3.5 billion in federal-aid highway contract authority balances held by states may have to be written off because they could be the result of a pre-2005 accounting error. However, any such writedown will not affect the total amount of federal highway money that the state can actually obligate and spend.
