You are here: Home1 / Eno/MAX Program2 / Maximum Impact Webinar Series

As we transition from pandemic response to post-COVID recovery, what role will you play in keeping transportation moving?

Eno is proud to announce our MAXimum Impact Webinar Series, a unique learning opportunity exclusively for Eno/MAX participants and alumni. The series features timely topics to help you tackle the issues of today and create the innovations of tomorrow. The COVID-19 pandemic is challenging transportation agencies across the United States and around the globe. Now more than ever, we need to innovate. Through this webinar series, you’ll increase your knowledge by going beyond routine learning to actively diving into the following topics.

Watch the Webinar Recording:

The COVID-19 pandemic has created an unprecedented boom in teleworking. As quarantine and social distancing recommendations continue to remain in effect, some people are calling for more widespread adoption of teleworking both now and in the post-COVID future. Not only does this shift toward teleworking have significant impacts on public transportation ridership, but also internally for each agency’s workforce. This webinar will discuss both the opportunities and challenges for public transportation agencies as they consider the future of teleworking for their employees.

Speakers:
Jeffrey Knueppel, Corporate Transit Practice Leader, KCI; Former General Manager, SEPTA (Read Full Bio)
Tina King, Senior Manager of Training & Professional Development, Eno Center for Transportation

Watch the Webinar Recording:

Behavioral scientists have been studying how people make transportation decisions and how to get them to make choices that are better for their health, the environment, and traffic safety. But how has the COVID-19 pandemic changed rider behavior? In this webinar, learn more about how human decision-making, behavioral science principles, telework trends, and public health recommendations will impact the future of transportation. Agencies need to create effective plans on how to communicate with riders and re-engage them both now and in the post-COVID world.

Speakers:
Ashley Whillans, PhD., Assistant Professor, Harvard Business School
Jessica Roberts, Principal + Programs Manager, Alta Planning + Design, Inc.
Paul Lewis, Vice President of Policy and Finance, Eno Center for Transportation

Tuesday, October 27 from 1:15-2:45pm ET (Interactive Workshop)
The challenges facing public transit due to the COVID-19 pandemic are complex and multifaceted. Transit agencies are having to make difficult decisions with dozens of competing forces. Can they balance meeting social distancing requirements without running numerous empty buses or trains? Can they effectively plan for next year despite steep declines in sales tax revenues and diminished capital operating budgets? In this interactive webinar, we’ll discuss and workshop ideas on how transit leaders can manage change during this uncertain time and prepare for what’s coming next.

Speakers:
Kari Watkins, Frederick Law Olmsted Associate Professor, Georgia Tech
Ahmed El-Geneidy, Professor, McGill School of Urban Planning
Hani Mahmassani, Professor of Civil and Environmental and (by courtesy) Industrial Engineering and Management Sciences Engineering, Northwestern University
Paul Lewis, Vice President for Policy and Finance, Eno Center for Transportation
