Both chambers of Congress return to Washington this week for floor votes on Tuesday, November 12, in order that the party caucuses may conduct leadership elections for the 119th Congress and conduct other business.

No transportation-related committee meetings are scheduled. For some reason, the House T&I Committee waited until 7 p.m. on a Friday to announce a hearing for the following week:

Thursday, November 14 – House Transportation and Infrastructure – Subcommittee on Coast Guard and Maritime Transportation – subcommittee hearing on the Coast Guard’s ability to perform its icebreaking and polar region duties (witness list here) – 2:00 p.m., 2167 Rayburn.
