You are here: Home1 / Transportation Quarterly

For 57 years, the Eno Foundation published a quarterly academic journal, called Traffic Quarterly from 1947-1981 and Transportation Quarterly from 1982-2003. Originally envisioned as being “devoted exclusively to the improvement of highway traffic,” the scope of the publication was later expanded to this:

. . . to help improve transportation in all its aspects through the conduct and encouragement of appropriate research and educational activities, and through the publication and distribution of information pertaining to transportation planning, design, operation, and regulation.

In cooperation with HathiTrust, a consortium of research university libraries led by the University of Michigan, back issues of TQ have now been made available to the public over the Internet for the first time.

Clicking on any year in the list below will take you to a table of contents page for the four issues of TQ published in that calendar year, and clicking on the title of any article on a table of contents page will take you to a digital copy of that article. Article title and author name searches can be performed through the search window at the right side of this page; searches that include article text can be performed at www.hathitrust.org.
