Leslie Blakey has a diverse background in public outreach, project development, policy research and government affairs. Over the past 15 years with Blakey & Agnew LLC, which manages the Coalition for America’s Gateways and Trade Corridors (CAGTC), she has overseen projects and clients primarily in transportation and the freight industry.

As CAGTC’s Executive Director, Ms. Blakey has helped to unite a large and growing number of public and private organizations around the need for increased federal investment in intermodal freight infrastructure. She manages the Coalition’s work to increase awareness of the benefits of trade infrastructure development and to coordinate legislative strategy and support. She is currently producing the NAFTANEXT Summit, which the Coalition is hosting in Chicago in April 2014.

In 2012, Ms. Blakey was appointed to the Department of Commerce Advisory Committee on Supply Chain Competitiveness. She is also a member of the Advisory Board of the Eno Transportation Foundation and has addressed transportation issues to a wide variety of groups, such as the Transportation Research Board of the National Academy of Sciences, Intelligent Transportation Society of America, the Retail Industry Leaders Association and the International Association of Chiefs of Police. She is a regularly featured speaker at the Trans-Pacific Maritime Conference and Maritime Week Americas.

Ms. Blakey holds a B.S. in sociology and a M.S. in public administration from Florida State University. She is also fluent in French and holds a degree from the Lycee Hoteliere de Strasbourg in France.
