John Lannen has served as Executive Director of the Truck Safety Coalition since 2005. In this capacity, he has worked closely with truck crash survivors, their families, and other safety groups, as well as law enforcement and industry members to advance truck safety. As Executive Director, Mr. Lannen directs both non-profit partners of the Coalition, Citizens for Reliable and Safe Highways (CRASH) and Parents Against Tired Truckers (PATT). He has been a member of numerous advisory boards, including the current Chair of the Motor Carrier Safety Advisory Committee (MCSAC), the Entry Level Driver Training Advisory Committee, and MCSAC subcommittees such as the Police Accident Report and Driver Health and Wellness working groups. With a background in business, he has worked in a variety of positions in product development and marketing, and he co-founded and served as president of Strategic INFO, a web technology company. Mr. Lannen earned his BA in Economics from the College of William and Mary and his MBA from the University of Virginia’s Darden School of Business Management.
