Transportation governance is a growing issue for modern transportation. State departments of transportation, transit agencies, metropolitan planning organizations, and federal administrations are among many of the institutions that are tasked with building and managing the complex intermodal transportation that supports the U.S. economy. But can today’s transportation governance structures, funding arrangements, decision-making mechanisms, and operating practices respond to the disruptive changes that surround them? What reforms could improve safety, efficiency, and equity? In February 2019, Eno, along with the Reason Foundation, convened a 3-day workshop to begin the exploration of transportation governance. The webinar will cover the results of this forum, key issues identified by participants, and next steps for further discussion.
