Erin Shumate, Eno’s Deputy Director for professional development programs, manages the development, implementation, and continuous improvement of the professional development programs. She works with Eno leadership to assess existing courses and helps develop programs to fill the gaps. She manages the course processes from start to finish for all leadership programs and events, including marketing, registration/application, pre-course work, onsite course, and evaluation. She facilitates portions of the Transit Mid Manager and Transit Senior Executive Programs, including leading small groups, facilitating 360 assessment coaching sessions, and modules on transit trends, change management, and generations in the workplace. She started in the organization in 2012 as the Program Coordinator and has been promoted multiple times over the years.

Prior to joining Eno, Ms. Shumate worked for the Sheraton Suites as their Catering Sales Manager, ensuring the meetings and events going on were executed without flaw. She received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from James Madison University and a Master’s in Business Administration from George Mason University with a concentration in leadership development and project management.
