Washington D.C. – Statement from Eno’s President and CEO, Robert Puentes on President Trump’s air traffic control reform initiative:
“Spinning off the nation’s air traffic control system to an independent, non-profit entity is a good idea. Doing so will create a safer, more modern, and more efficient system allowing the continued growth of America’s aviation industry and safeguarding general aviation’s important role in the national airspace.
Air traffic control reform is a long time coming. Over the past thirty years, Democrats, Republicans, airlines, air traffic controller unions, and academics have all stood up in support of reform.
This plan will save taxpayers money, make a critical part of our economy more effective, and allow the Federal Aviation Administration to focus on its core mission as the aviation safety overseer.”
