Marcos Díaz González is Executive Vice President and Centers of Excellence Director at STV. His portfolio includes the firm’s national practices in program management & controls, tunnels & geotechnical, transit systems, vehicles, maintenance facilities, environmental services, complex bridges, transportation planning, alternative delivery, digital advisory, and strategic advisory, which includes zero emissions transformation, smart cities, mobility technology & ITS, sustainability, resiliency, economics & grant advisory.

He has over 25 years of executive leadership experience in operations, programs, mergers & acquisitions, and corporate Development. His expertise ranges across multiple market sectors and delivery methods. Prior to joining STV Marcos was Senior Vice President at AECOM, and director of venue planning for NYC2012, New York City’s pursuit of the 2012 Olympic Games.

Marcos was inducted into the National Academy of Construction in 2021. He is the Chair of the Board of the ACE Mentor Program of Greater New York, and immediate past Chair of the Board of Trustees of the Brooklyn-based Gowanus Canal Conservancy. Marcos is also the vice chair of the Board of Advisors for the Center for Buildings, Infrastructure and Public Spaces at Columbia University, where he is an Adjunct Professor.

Marcos studied engineering in Spain, received an AS in mathematics from Foothill College, graduated with Honors and Distinction from Stanford University (Phi Beta Kappa), and has M.Arch. and MBA degrees from Yale University. Marcos enjoys skiing, paddle boarding, developing the next generation of leaders I the EAC space, and traveling with his wife and two daughters.
