DESCRIPTION:Over the past two years\, leadership trends have significantly changed in complexity and so has the available pool of talented leaders who can lead organizations in helm positions. The 2022 Transportation Mid-Manager Accelerate program is designed for mid-level leaders wanting to be faster\, sharper\, and stronger in the art of leadership. The Accelerate model is intentionally anchored by three directives: enhance strategic skillsets\, engage in meaningful leadership content and learning\, and re-invigorate how participants show up as leaders. This year\, we are offering three (3) TMM sessions: summer\, virtual\, and fall. The summer and fall sessions will be held in person and in the Washington\, D.C. Systems including oil pipelines\, transit networks\, airlines\, and supply chains all are susceptible to an attack\, but many are under prepared for a large and growing concern. Although cybersecurity does not capture the public attention until a crisis\, putting policies in place now to stay ahead of the issue is increasingly vital. In this webinar\, we will discuss the nature\, threat\, and public policies that surround cybersecurity in transportation. \nSpeakers:\nScott Belcher\, President and CEO\, SFB Consulting\nJ. Michael Daniel\, President and CEO\, Cyber Threat Alliance\nAri Schwartz\, Managing Director of Cybersecurity Services\, Venable LLP\nPaul Lewis\, Chief Finance Officer and Policy Director\, Eno Center for Transportation \nWatch the Recording:\n \n\n \nScott Belcher is the Chief Executive of SFB Consulting\, LLC.  In that capacity he works at the intersection of transportation\, technology\, and communications\, and advises public and private agencies on issues such as cybersecurity\, Mobility as a Service\, and connected and autonomous vehicles. \nScott is also a Research Associate for the Mineta Transportation Institute (MTI).  In his work for MTI has been the Principal Investigator on the study Is the Transit Industry Prepared for the Cyber Revolution? Policy Recommendations to Enhance Surface Transit Cyber Preparedness and on the following White Papers: \n\nPersonal Data Protection as a Driver for Improved Cybersecurity Practices in U.S. Public Transit\nWill the Biden Administration’s ‘Made in America’ Executive Order Present Significant New Cybersecurity Obligations for Transit Operators?; and\nImplications of the Sunburst Cybersecurity Attack on the Transit Industry\n\nBefore founding SFB Consulting\, LLC \, Scott Belcher was the CEO of the Telecommunications Industry Association\, the CEO of ITS America\, and held executive leadership positions at a number of other prominent trade associations. \n\nMichael leads the CTA team and oversees the organization’s operations. Prior to joining the CTA in February 2017\, Michael served from June 2012 to January 2017 as Special Assistant to President Obama and Cybersecurity Coordinator on the National Security Council Staff. In this role\, Michael led the development of national cybersecurity strategy and policy\, and ensured that the US government effectively partnered with the private sector\, non-governmental organizations\, and other nations. \n  \n  \n\nA leading voice in national cybersecurity policy with extensive government and nonprofit sector experience\, Ari Schwartz directs Cybersecurity Services for Venable’s Cybersecurity Risk Management Group. In this role\, Ari guides the establishment of cybersecurity consulting services for Venable\, assisting organizations with understanding and the development of risk management strategies\, including implementation of the Cybersecurity Framework and other planning tools to help minimize risk. Ari also coordinates the Cybersecurity Coalition\, a group of leading cybersecurity companies dedicated to educating policymakers on cybersecurity issues and promoting a vibrant marketplace for cybersecurity technology solutions.
